Traction VW

"Vehicle is titled as a 1971 Volkswagen (same clear title received when I purchased; I’ve never registered or transferred.) Vehicle has a 1937 Citroen T/A body modified to fit on VW Beetle chassis and drive train. Rear-mounted 4 cylinder with manual 4-speed transmission. I purchased vehicle already modified to chassis as a two door hardtop, with bodywork complete and painted in gray primer, without any interior, from a WWII memorabilia collector using in his museum. I purchased it for use as an era-specific film prop. Legend from previous owner was that it was used by both Nazi’s and French Resistance fighters, and eventually bought by a American GI after war and shipped home in pieces. I have no documentation of such history, and as such none would be included with this sale. As stated- this story is the legend of the previous seller who regularly imported and collected all sizes and types of military vehicles from WWII, Korean, Vietnam and other conflicts and eras from all over Europe. Somewhere along the years it was fit to the VW chassis (likely because, as he put it, Traction Avant frames of that era were notoriously junk)."
